IPTV App Keeps Crashing? Here Is How to Fix It

When the Layerseven IPTV app force-closes or crashes on open, the cause is almost always local to the device: low storage, a corrupted cache, or an outdated app build. It is rarely the subscription itself, since the same account typically works fine on a second device.
Check storage first
Fire TV Sticks and low-end Android boxes ship with limited internal storage. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Storage (or the equivalent on Android TV) and confirm you have at least 1 GB free. Apps crash unpredictably when a device is nearly full.
Clear the app cache, not just restart it
From Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications, select the Layerseven TV app and clear its cache (not its data, unless you are prepared to log in again). A bloated cache is one of the most common causes of a crash-on-launch loop.
Confirm you are on the latest build
If you sideloaded the app via Downloader following our installation guide, redownload the current APK link from your welcome message — an old build can lose compatibility after a platform update on Fire TV or Android TV.
Underpowered hardware
Very old streaming boxes with 1 GB of RAM or less can crash simply from running low on memory during a heavy EPG load. If crashes persist after clearing cache and updating, it may be time to move to a device from our recommended list rather than continuing to troubleshoot aging hardware.
