How to Set Up IPTV on Apple TV

Apple TV does not have a Layerseven IPTV app of its own, but it runs several third-party IPTV player apps available directly from the App Store, so no sideloading or jailbreaking is needed.Apple's own Apple TV setup guide covers the device basics if you are configuring a brand-new unit.
Choosing a player app
Search the App Store on your Apple TV for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists — most Layerseven-compatible players do. Install it, open it, and you will be asked for either your Xtream login details or an M3U URL, both of which are in your Layerseven welcome message.
Entering your details on a TV remote
Typing long URLs with the Siri Remote is tedious. Most player apps support the free Apple Remote app on iPhone as a substitute keyboard, or let you scan a QR code to push the login from your phone instead. Either is faster than the on-screen keyboard.
If playback is choppy on Apple TV
Apple TV hardware itself is rarely the bottleneck. Work through our buffering checklist, starting with the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired Ethernet adapter, since Apple TV 4K supports Ethernet directly through its power cable on some models.
Apple TV vs a Fire TV Stick for IPTV
Both work well. If you already own an Apple TV there is no reason to buy separate hardware; if you are buying new and price matters more than ecosystem, the Fire TV Stick is the cheaper way in. See our full device comparison for the complete picture.
